More SEO Tools and Sites

At the end of this article I'm going to tell you how good SEO is for YOU, so listen up!

Monetizing resources has become the name of the game, but there are still a lot of FREE tools around right now that help you in evaluating keywords and choosing the best for your purpose - even tools that help you get creative in exploring new keywords for your topic. Here are a few:

SEO Chat The Best! This is a comprehensive site with a heap of tutorials and SEO tools to help any webmaster optimize his or her site for traffic. Keep this site in your toolbox (see my post on this) because you will want to refer to it often.

SEO Book has a series of paid courses and the owners can be hired for SEO work on your site. You can sign up for a free membership and get a free 7-day SEO beginners course by email also - go for it!

Scrub The Web One of the older engines, Scrubby has always been an SEO resource. They have a comprehensive area devoted to SEO, with some free tools and help, plus a series of courses for their exclusive membership. At $ 79.95 for a 6 month membership, this HAS to be one of the best value for money SEO deals on the net. Scrubby is definitely worth taking a look at because they have extra goodies like a free Metatag Builder, a free Metatag Analyzer and an Easy Submit, to name a few.

EZ SEO News is also worth a glance, though it doesn't rank up there with the above resources and it's not at all well organised, for my money.

Firefox Among all its features, Firefox has a free extension that adds many search engine optimization data points into Google's SERPs and Yahoo!'s SERPs on the fly. You can download it HERE.

Of course, there are heaps of companies out there falling over themselves to do an SEO job on your website - for a fee. For the big guys with money to burn and not much time to spend, that might be the way to go.

My feeling is though, if you're serious about your online presence, it's a much better idea to upskill and do the job yourself. Learning this stuff is going to widen your vision about the potential of the net and how to position your business to make the best of it - and that can only be GOOD for your business!

More tomorrow.
